It includes the following:
Defender LT77/R380 Slickshift Kit – design exclusive to Syncro Gearboxes, the Land Rover Defender LT77/R380 Slickshift improves gear change by reducing sloppiness and minimising travel, as well as neatening shifts giving smoother gear changes.
Turret Kit – Land Rover Defender Aluminium gear lever turret casting, pin and bias spring kit. All you need to do it bend the springs around – we even have a handy video below to assist you. Turrets commonly wear over time so we always recommend swapping it out, especially if your truck has done plenty of miles. (WATCH THE FITTING VIDEOS BELOW – THE SPRING IS NOT FITTED INCORRECTLY)
Anti Rattle Spring – for the the rear of the pivot pin for the Defender LT77/R380. This little item quite often needs replacing.
Foam pad for Gearbox Transmission Tunnel – a new foam pad.

HOW TO SPIN THE TURRET SPRING AROUND (WATCH THE FITTING VIDEOS BELOW – THE SPRING IS NOT FITTED INCORRECTLY)
CUSTOMER NOTE & TOP TIP: When you follow the process above to tension the spring you may find that the spring can get distorted so the spring arms don’t initially sit correctly in place. If you find the spring arms don’t sit on the pivot pins once you’ve tensioned it don’t panic, you’ll simply need to bring the spring arms right up over the top of the turret and then inwards across centre so that they sit comfortably in place when released (essentially counteracting the effect of moving the spring outward around the bottom of the turret).

Brilliant. I have been having trouble getting a good 2nd hand unit and this was the perfect cure. The only thing that would have made it even better is if it came withe the bolts to adjust the spring tension too but i understand that most buyers would already have that. Bought the full kit as my Def 300tdi is over 200K miles, and I expected the turret to be worn – it really was. Fitted the kit in about an hour, taking it very leisurely with a break for a cup of tea – really a 30 minute job. Set the bias springs as best I could according to the videos/feel. Took it for a test drive, perfect from the outset – no further adjustment needed. Change is now superb, so much more exact, no vagueness, distance to engagement greatly reduced and generally just easier and better. The only challenge for the first few miles was getting used to something that worked so well. Well worth the money – not a must-have when compared to something like working brakes, but certainly a really-really-good-to-have. Recommended strongly ) I am delighted.
